Jim Martin

He was sent to Gallipoli when he was 18 but he was given notice at 14. His name was Jim Martin. The Ship that Jim sailed on was sunk on the way to Gallipoli, he was one of the lucky Ones who was saved by a fellow soldier. He got very sick in Gallipoli and was sent to a Hospital ship but died and buried at sea. Jim Martin may only have been one soldier but everyone makes a difference.

Today we read “One minute silence”  . . .

I found the book very touching and it really captured what it was like in World War 1, I could picture the bullets lashing the soldiers and the sounds of endless gunfire, The constant bombs exploding and you could see thee terror in the soldiers eyes. I definitely recommend reading this book.
